Certainly not gong for killing but know what you mean!! You may be sorted already but bored after getting up too early to see cow calving so looking through forum. I run 2 blues and 5 blondes, bulls that is, and a Hereford for some heifers but mainly/stupidly got my partner a pure heifer for Christmas and obviously a bull followed. Tend to put blonde bulls on blue cows and blue bulls on blonde cows, or heifers. Like the blue as such a short gestation length, I find them the best for heifers. So this one that wont be killed... bought him I think 4 1/2 years ago but would have to check, make him 6 years old if im right, nearly an all black bull, some white on him, without a shadow of doubt active, unlike many blues very straight on back legs, can run as well as a yearling. Very muscular, I run a fair few cattle, and like to think more than half decent cattle, so when isay that he is muscular, not like these folk that say wonderful bull and then you see a photo... have the majority of calves with very good shape, yet he genuinely calves very very easily, hence me using him on heifers. Had one ceaser if im honest, on a blonde cow that had already calved twice and she wouldn't open up, it was a fairly big calf, not extreme, blame the cow more than bull but thought id say to be straight. The only reason im considering selling on seeing your message is the hassle of monitoring to make sure he doesn't go back with his daughters.Im finding he is covering less cows and heifers as trying to group a bunch of same age calves that hes not related to the mothers in an all year round calving herd is becoming awkward/ hassle. Would guess hed make 1400/1500 to kill, but as said that wont happen, wouldn't want a fortune but if im right on age I would think I would be looking at 2200? He was bought privately at 6250
