Who cares? Trading is trading.
ecause for every trade they take a fraction of a penny for themselves and away from the person who they are buying/selling it for, do shares really need trading a hundred times a day, years ago when it all had to be done on paper they could only do a few trades, now computers do it on their own half the time, saw a report on a high speed internet line between two cities put in to make trades even faster and beat the opposition and make a fortune, it cost millions to put in, now who benefitted from that certainly wasnt the people owning the shares.

I'm not pulling you up really Ollie but we do have to have some care - 2008 and all - but yes do like trading although I think it's sometimes unethical and morally corrupt.

In 2016, financial and insurance services contributed £124.2 billion in gross value added (GVA) to the UK economy, 7.2% of the UK's total GVA. London accounted for 51% of the total financial and insurance sector GVA in the UK in 2015.

Without speculators in markets, they can't function though.

Is that an over simplification ? We've had the MMB before - not my era

We still have some intervention & we've had Russian sanctions & retaliation against EU so markets are moved outside of markets.

Also what happened to dairy farming over the past few years IMHO shows markets in a poor light. Really needs an investigation though

Done.
I find it hard to believe you can determine any meaningful information from that short survey.
I think neo-nationalism is a neo-liberal attempt to link a resistance to globalism to the far-right. This is not helpful.
Cant see how a survey about buying intentions has much to do with neo nationalism, we would be a better off if we bought as much uk made stuff as the french do french made stuff

I thought the same.

This "Survey" already categorises people even before the survey is done.

Worse, by evoking a negative term "Neo Nationalism" it will change responses on purpose.
