Our 34.7 is due some new tyres it’s curently on 405/70x24 they are ok on hard surfaces but cut in on the field
Has any one fitted 460/70x24 instead .These tyres are wider and have a greater rolling diameter so should be better in the field
Will they fit exsisting rims and will the transmission need recalibration due to the wheels being taller ?

Can’t see you woukd need the transmission recalibrated as you are replacing all the tyres.may be a bit taller but that’s all.maybe tyres with a smaller aspect ratio available

The rims may be too narrow for 460 tyres. WE replaced our 405//70 R24 with 15.5/50 R24 BKT 16 ply on existing rims to give the same rolling radius as the 460/70 R24 tyres and they are a lot cheaper tyre

That's a bit poor ours has the originals on still at 6yr old with 6000hrs on
it must never have been on concrete or loaded Grain or Unloaded 1000's of tons of fert at 2.4t at a time.
i see plenty who dont even get 2000hrs out of all brands of tyres but hammer the hell outta the machine.
Just my views of course i dont have the proof.

Very rarely off concrete, loads feeder every day unloads fert 2.4t a time 100's rather than 1000's of tons a year, mucking out general dairy farm use basically. Previous manitou did 6000 before replacing tyres this should get to 6500 possibly 7000 although rolling silage pit might need them changed early

fair play but i find that ni on impossible oh well i guess theres allways a first.
i thought i had done well esp age of mine vs low hrs really.
i'll bet a neighbours JCB will have had three sets of Exp Michys in 6000hrs.
Figure that one out.

i have moved about 125t of fert every year twice tho easily. loaded over 1000t of grain every harvest
thats 12 seasons worth. its now 13yr old end of this month. doubt it will leave the farm unless it dies.
or the job picks up enuff to justify its now 110% increase in its replacement since 2005.
Demo'd a new one & hated it. id buy a JCB with that Dual tech Trans if i had the £££ now. 541-70 tho
