Interesting photos of someone trying to eke out a living while working themselves into an early grave while having a subsistence existence.
If you ran into these folks you would probably find they are a lot younger than they look and you mght be concerned about their general wellbeing on a subsistence existence.
Good to see traditional round bales still have a place!

Funny I did think of you when I seen the post. Personally I think their the modern farmers & everyone else has to catch up.
:ROFLMAO:

I like minimalist approaches to things, less bills, less stock needed to pay them - as opposed to more of everything (including stress) :)

...but, I do like hot water behind a tap! o_O

The article says he's 70, so he's not doing bad, it also says that he has had to modernise a bit, but he still ploughs with oxen!

It depends what you consider an early grave? Working on your piece of ground doing the thing you like to do with your animals.
No sitting in traffic jams, no huge machinery bills, eating food you have grown. Doing this until you're over seventy & not in a home not being able to remember who you are. Not a bad life eh?
Who really needs all the so-called luxuries/trappings, the dilemma of which pick-up will last the next three years? A lot to be considered.

Is there not some EU directive about using animals for work, cruelty ect. As we know they have a lot of stupid clueless rules about every thing .
