Given the massive cost of axial:
What’s the lowest rate anyone has has successful control of spring germinating wild oats with.
I’ve been ok at 0.2 but wonder if 0.1 (plus loads of oil) would do it?

I dont go under 0.3 of Axial for oats.

Topik / Sword at 0.2 plus wetter / oil.

Topik is just for wheat, foxtrot can be used in barley but only up to gs32 and I've heard it can be harsh.
Axial can be used right thought to flag leaf.

Used 0.15 last year, totally successfully.

Same rate this year. Drilled 22nd April, sprayed axial last week.

It should be coming off patent soon.
It always narks me that you have to use adigor which is more than twice the price of any other MSO.

There is a paralell import called Roaxe 100. Never seen it for sale though. @Clive ?

Adigor is methylated oil plus a non ionic wetter. Nothing you couldn't mix yourself for a fraction of the cost yet Syngenta's Axial label states "you MUST use Adigor" which means it's a legal requirement

The elusive roaxe. I've asked my buying group several times to try and source it for me but every time have been unable.
If you look on the pesticides register there's a few others too but non that anyone wants to sell.
Adigor is yet another rip off just like siltra/aviator which is another thing that gets my back up big time!!!!

I’m sure i once saw a posting on here saying 0.1 was ok but I can’t find it now

PS i use newman cropspray as wetter - twice as much oil / L in the can as adigor

PPS i only use axial in sb (1 in 3) so I’m not too worried about resistance

We had roaxe a couple of years back. This year 200ml of topic plus oils has worked out at a tenner per acre.

The used be a product that only needed 50ml per ha for wild oats but damned if I can remember what it was.
