Along with a fair number of folk from the farming world I was honoured to be at Prince Charles birthday Garden Party put on for the many organisations and charities he supports. I was there representing the Rare Breed Survival Trust, it was a fantastic day and I met up with a few folk I knew including the Riggot Galloway Society representatives and those from the DSWA.
Didn’t take many photos but here’s one of my good self all suited up and looking ominous like one of the security

This was yesterday but don’t get many days off work, it was more of an afternoon off really!
Chucked some helis in the truck and went to the flying club.

Was a few other lads there so it was nice to have a catch up as it’s only the second time I’ve been this year.

Awesome(y), they hire r22’s at the airport its about £200 a clock hour including fuel and landed fees and you can keep it for a few days and just pay for the flight time. Would be good for going to shows, costs more to put fuel in the beemer:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

That's bloody cheap! The last time I flew it cost me £320 per hour all in.

There's nothing quite as cool as landing a helicopter in public, even an R22. A guy who learnt when I did used his brothers Gazelle :cool: He only had to pay fuel but it cost him more per hour than I paid all in!

We both flew out to a country pub for the evening once (both with passengers) and he had to keep waiting for me :D

The G2 is in a different class though, everything the R22 should be in the 21st century. The Elstree one often crosses us and its whisper quiet compared to other rotaries.

Reminds me, I must buy a lottery ticket

I take my hat off to you and your family for this act of respect!

We all enjoy our lives coming from the loss of so many, and yet we are as a race - so intollerant of one another!!
