Ford Industrial Digger Parts e.g.655

Not sure if it's connected but we had a similar issue with a ford loader, not sure on the model number. Basically it wouldn't engage reverse. Worked it out to be some wires going into the gearbox were shorting out where the sleeving had melted off them. New wires and it's working fine again.

Thanks all. Fairly sure the box itself is at fault having put the circuit tester on it several times. Having phoned about 5 new Holland dealers around the country, Malpas Tractors (Wrexham) appear to have sourced what we need from New Holland and is now on order so fingers crossed!

Having trouble sourcing some bushes for my 655c - genuine parts no longer available - Digbits at Rugeley dont carry anything suitable. Anyone care to suggest possible alternative suppliers. Its the bushes for the slew rams in the kingpost. Ford part number is E7NNF576BC.
Bush size is 40.21mm x 52.95mm x 40mm and 4 required. Possibly a suitable bush that could be machined to size?
Thanks

Think I might have some bolts that hold the backacter on if that's any use to anyone

Got odd bits for my '91 655C through a New Holland dealer.

Parts man said he had full access to parts inventory for the Ford diggers, it's the ones badged as New Holland that you have to talk to the plant dealers for.
