Getting less pleasant .....

So many good posters have left since the forum started , or don’t post much. There used to be a happy band and I hardly noticed a bad word. Why did they leave?

I’m thinking of people like @stuart , @Flossie , @eulb @Steakeater @YorkshireAndrew @7610 super q @multi @static ,and of course Carole had a way of keeping everyone in order.
Some posters now just grind you down and there’s no reasoning or discussion . Some posts are just too long and keep banging on about the same stuff, whether that’s Brexit ( which is a lot to blame), or someone constantly telling us we are whinging poms.
Where are these whinging pom threads you speak of? I'd love to read them, for sport of course. Lol.
I quite enjoy the sport of winding up other nstionalities with a bit of banter, but I know never to accuse the Brits of whinging and never wind the Kenyans up about there accents. [emoji11][emoji38][emoji1]

I think there are two threads that that statement may relate to in particular, but equally there is a lot of posts about the natives abroad kind of viewpoint, so the fact is - both sides are equally taking the pee out of each other, hence why I personally cannot not see the issue, as both sides are - or appear to be having some fun :scratchhead:

I find GUTH seems to be the resident expert on all things agricultural, if anyone disagrees he starts to have a go. Most can't be bothered arguing and leave him to it.

He must have a crystal ball in the shed, as he seems to know how everyone else farms and how much straw they have.

Well if you bothered to look you would have seen that have posted many threads on TFF asking for advice on several different things and actually got some very usefull advice on all of them and which some I have used/ helped at the time and which im extremely gratefull for and thus try to return the favour when people ask me for advice, I didn't realize that this is NOT what the forum is supposed to be about according to your way of thinking!

Also I will point out that you were on the beef/ lamb tracker thread moaning like hell because farmers didn't feel sorry for killing plants when the lamb price was at an all time high back last spring yet when I pulled you up the other day asking are you now feeling sorry for farmers who are now selling lambs at rock bottom prices your reply was to go on the offensive against me instead of answering my very valid question.

Did you run out of breath typing the above, as I am after reading it...

Good Afternoon

Here we go again, can I repeat once again I said lambs were too deer earlier in the year for smaller abattoirs, as they couldn't handle large losses and could close, resulting in marts losing valuable buyers. This would have had an adverse impact upon lamb prices in the long term. I have no power to influence national lamb prices, it was a simple observation.

And yes I do feel sorry for farmers, when they lose money. Now calm yourself lad.

At least you can get your cholesterol checked regularly !
Especially after the whole bar of cooking chocolate . Let’s hope it wasn’t exlax.
( showing my age now. Ex lax was a laxative that looked like a bar of chocolate , and we used to think it funny to pinch a bit out of the cupboard and offer it to our mates at school)
That reminds me of my school in the 3rd form where one kid came in with a full wholesale box of chewing gum that he had nicked from a shop, and duly doled it out to everyone for nowt.It wasnt written on the individual packets, only the main box that it was laxative chewing gum.It was really funny in the afternoon, loads of kids asked to be excused from class to go to the loo.

Forums tend to go through cycles. There was a rather vicious one not long after I started that some may remember. (If they're as old as @YorkshireAndrew :eek:. Sorry, I mean been here as long as!) that took out a few members and caused others to step back for a bit. But life moved on and things settled down. Generally in online worlds and forums, the time around Christmas and January is complete meltdown time, for whatever reason. Seasonal blues, stresses, weather, who knows. Maybe that means it's only going to get worse before it gets better here? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::bag:
