HI!
I have found an EZ STEER for a good price but with cables for Fm750.
Is it possible to use it with the same cables for EZ 250?

I've no experience of EZ Steer on an EZ Guide 250, but I have converted 3 EZ Steer 500 units to work with FM-750's, so it's possible that it would be backwards compatible. There is a Trimble manual on 'tinternet showing 3 ways to create hybrid harnesses to connect EZ-Steer 500 to a FM-750. Just tick off the cables you have, choose the appropriate solution, buy extra cables (£££) and away you go. You'll just need a bit of lateral thinking to make it work the other way around!

If you need cables drop me a note, as I should have some remnant EZ Steer 500 cables left over, and some 750 cables too.

Yes it’s fine. If you’re confident with wiring you can take the plugs apart really easily and swap the pins into the connector that goes into back of the ez250. It’s only 4 wires
+12v, 0v, CAN hi and CAN low.

Here's the pin out for the ez250.

The ez-steer connects to:
pin 2 = 12v out = Red wire on ez-steer loom
pin 3 = CAN high = Yellow wire
pin 10 = CAN low = Green wire
Pin 11 = 0v out = Black wire

I bought an ez steer a few months ago with a 250 screen that had been supposedly used together.

It turned out all the ez steer wiring loom was for a 750 screen, I think when I priced up a 250 loom for the ez steer it was something like £150.

I didn’t think about rewiring the existing loom to make it fit the 250. In the I sold the 250, and bought a used 750 to fit the loom
