I bought my LC for £2600 solely as a workhorse towing truck ,It didnt bother me if it needed a few ££ spending every year ,,I knew I wouldnt be able to find anything else that had the power and reliability.Buying cheap to tow, can bite you if it needs repairs down the line, so proceed with caution.

Probably don't even need a 4x4 ? We have a Mondeo and it can tow around 2000kgsTrailer would be under 1500kg loaded.
