PIR on the lights... People get used to it in darkness.... Then Oh Look the lights are on through the sky lights etc. People take more notice that way , not that many people care nowadays anyway... crack on no time for that sh!t we aint seen it mentality.
I ran a city farm many years ago and the local police told us not to have security lights because nobody ever took any notice (or not to the extent of reporting it, anyway) and they just allowed criminals to see what they could take.

I bought one of the cheaper premade security doors for my workshop, it was an open outward one. First gust of wind blew it open and twisted the frame and ever since that the locks would never work properly so no I just leave it locked all the time as a deterrent and use the main sliding door instead!!
