Its not running them its starting them thats the issue. 3 nexus machines dont take much to caw over but 3 older machine can even make a big genny cough abit. Go for as big as you can handle most are pretty light now adays keep an eye on aldi special buys got a cracking wee genny for not alot of money there and it can work two old lister 3 speeds if you dont start them at the same time.
Those aldi (or was it lidl?)generators are in store now until sold out. Had to stop myself buying one the other day as I'm saving up for the new Honda suitcase one.

What generator was that? The one we were using last week was from Lidl. Actually a good enough generator - ran nice. The sticker said it was 2600w but only had enough power to run 1 Lister Nova

Almost done for the year.

No photos of the sheep or the set up but did get this one before I left the fank. No molly coddled blackies in these parts.

Just gathered for dipping and speining the lambs and got fifteen ewes and a hogg still with full fleeces so set too with the hand shears, didnt take long, even my dad whos eighty in a month did one, said he really enjoyed it. Nearly seventy years since he sheared his first sheep, hope hes still shearing an odd one in another ten years

Apologies if you're not on Facebook... Beiyuan are really upping their game with the Shear Willpower Range.

This looks quite an interesting thing, not sure if it would be the future of shearing machines though

We can't really get Beiyuan stuff here in UK, as such. But almost all of the Horner brand kit is Beiyuan rebadged. I don't think it'll be many more years before they are seen as an equal to SuperShear/Lister and Heininger

I'd think it would suit shearing off a little generator compared with the grunt needed to start an old twin speed lister. But other than a lightweight flexi drive and handy bag I can't see what it offers compared to any other motor?
Edit: I can't watch the video because my phone's a bag of shite

Horner combs are great good cut on them , best combs a few years ago were John hand combs all hand finished in China if you got someone that had done them well they were good show combs

I'm not totally sure what the hang up part is (other than housing the pull switch)... but it looks very light and compact in the hand for a motor-in-hand machine.

I'm not 100% who makes Horner combs, as I believe they sell Beiyuan along side - they might just be rebranded, too?

I'm using Ace combs as it was either them at £11, or Heininger at £20 for left handers. Very pleased with them so far, another China make...

I am looking for a stand with a gang from mid June onwards. I have my British Wool Board Bronze Seal and can do about 100 a day to a high standard. I’m 18 years old and am really looking for more experience so I can push my numbers up. Based in Herefordshire but would travel anywhere in the UK if accommodation was available. Any help would be much appreciated.
