I've a 6180 with similar problems.. Including heavy steering when it's really hot. . Was it expensive to replace clutch and accumulator?
Parts not deadly at all its the labour that kills any jobs esp on these older tractors, before you know where your at you can easily spend its value, none of which your ever likely to get back

Is there a link between the accumulator and the steering? Got the same clutch problem and, like @Kcoleman , also the heavy steering.

Hydraulic pump is replaced a couple of months ago, didn't change a thing.

Steering on the same circuit as clutch as far as I know.. Its connected to the distribution valve block along with clutch under bonnet

Seems to be right. All the other stuff are working well. Only clutch and heavy steering.

I started with simple things, changed seals in master cylinder last night.. Massive difference already. Gonna check pressure at test point on clutch valve block next. If that's not 17 bar I'm gonna get the accumulator tested before buying a new one (hopefully I can get the original accumulator recharged if needed)..

Probably a bit late but I have just got a new accumulator from Melbourne sent to NZ, was $310 NZD.

I had the same problem with clutch on my 6180, accumulator was wore out, changed it the clutch works a bit better but I’m not sure on what to compare with as have never drove another 6180.. only problem was in a hurry to get tractor going and never got accumulator pressure dropped down to 9 bar it’s still at 11. Wonder how easy it is to get off now and not sure of where to take it to get the pressure dropped as no where open atm with the Covid19 business. Any help would be appreciated thanks
