Pivot pins need to come out, knock them out, undo the four bolts you mention and that's about it.

claas dealers did ours.took the fitter 6 hours to do.was not with him tho I was spraying.my mate was there to help.£75 per hour they charge

Seriously, for one of the bearings in that gearbox? I did bearings and the drive couplings on both of ours in about 3 hours. To do the bearing in that box it really is just a case of undoing the four bolts and walk the tube away from the gearbox, knock the two pins out and lift gearbox away, knock bearing and cog out in one piece, the bearing is held onto the cog with a circlip, if its just the bearing needed take it off and get from local bearing stockist, if drive fingers are worn then they come from claas with a new bearing in them.

not in the main gearbox, (although they dont seem amazing how much play should they have??), its the one that head off down towards outter 2 rotors

you can see hole in cast to drop punch in to get roll pin out, 4 bog bolts off and it just tapped off, bearing had water ingress hence failiure, cripclip off tap out cog, then tap out bearing.

really not a big job at all to get it off, pins holding arm on are into plastic bushes so should never cease in prob 30 mins to get it to this stage. Might do other side just for good measure while im on.

amazingly bearing actually says england on it,(although not made in!) dint think we made owt anymore!

Number 1 rule is don’t leave your Tedder outside. It’s not like a mower or even a rake. Bearings everywhere that are not well sealed, even worse if left folded as water sits on the seal and soaks in. Pressure washing is out!

Ha ga I never leave it out, it was bought second hand at a sale from a contractor, he must not have had the room indoors for it. Put new bearing n today got a pair or Japanese’s ones for 27 inc vat bargain.
