Then I had a bowl of these and saw Sorghum on the box for the first time. I wonder why they’ve introduced sorghum lately? New health food?Move over tofu.sorghum is a “feed” grain. A small % is used for human consumption to make alcohol ( China ) or as a gluten free flour, but the vast majority is used in cattle feedlots or chicken sheds, just like wheat or barley would be
They hang about for a while and move on .this morning I had 3 roe outside my bungalow and another 5 in my mums garden and a couple of muntjac running about too.they need moving on but we have a foot path through middle of farm and it’s a nuisance as people tend to walk where they please.our local contractors who shoot a lot and know the farm won’t do it because of the footpath.Let me know if they ever become a problem and need moving on
Lovely looking stags, not tempted to fill the freezer?View attachment 948073

Who did the wheel motor, I have one dripping on mineI confess it is a highly regarded machine in my mind. A triumph in regards to ageing SPP ownership contrary to many opinions viewed on here.
I’ve sprayed the best part of 3000 acres with her in the last year, and it has cost me £500 in routine servicing, £1800 for one wheel motor refurb and £200 for the odd hose and fitting etc. 83p/acre running cost seems terrific value to me.
With full auto steer etc and the ease of jump in and go, I genuinely enjoy using the machine.
You could use that in all sorts of conditions if you could drop the rear packers off.Finished fitting the coulters and piping up our Kuhn Prolander today , the “plan” is to use it with one of our front hoppers to establish cover crops , winter beans and maybe even wheat as a no2 fire engine drill if the conditions are to bad for the fire engine drill !!!!View attachment 948082View attachment 948083View attachment 948084View attachment 948085View attachment 948086
We were still using it in late December and the packers were still turning , did have a few bung ups but it was very wet .You could use that in all sorts of conditions if you could drop the rear packers off.
Dug the footings out for extension . Plenty of obstacles to dig around .
