Merchant on the phone today: "we've sold as much early season AN this year as we always do, and the price is going up a tenner next week"
Me: "I'm struggling to believe there are that many farmers who've been suckered into playing a very stupid game...".

Apparently AN users are buying early, and urea users are holding off as the price spike is down to Chinese demand.

I spoke to a farmer the other day who said he had bought his but had told the merchant if the price drops, he had to come down to match it!

Ordered some, along with stocks don't really need much more until late March. Hopefully prices will be lower by then but slightly concerned about logistics with last minute orders.

Ordered 1 load (reluctantly) of pulan (£261) the other day as have still got over a lorry load in shed from last year. Over £80 / t difference but can't see it dropping back to those levels.
Everything what you buy in seems to be going up in price.
