puna, and wouldn't know which. It does the job we wanted it for, there's simply to much of it now, that lesson learn't, lower the seed rate, some went in at 1kg/acre. But for us, and many others, it's a learning curve, and l am open to farmers opinions, and post mine, never to old to learn.
But, growing in dry ground, and palatability, no problems, till now, and it's not a big problem, just use less seed !
250g of chicory is more than enough imo and 500g plantain per acre

l now know that. Must admit it does the job though.
perhaps the biggest lesson learnt, is how easily it establishes, we now realise we can spin the seed on, after giving the new ley, a decent spray to knock out weeds. Weed control is the biggest 'anti'.

100% agree about weed control, going to have to get better at keeping on top of it with the quad bike sprayer next year. Just too much on this year but unfortunately that always seems to be the case!
