What are you working on today, TFF?

Got a job on the go that's not really thread worthy?
Not a QFB&C?
Not quite a NQFEorAQB?

Whatever it is, show us what you're working on today, TFF.

I'm desperately trying to revive the aircon system on my newly purchased Same but it's snowballing a bit (I probably shouldn't have bothered with it). Pump, drier, tx vave, a hose repair, system flush, a pair of fans, a pair of fan resistors, a wiring repair to the RH fan.

It's current flushed and pressure tested, ready to be regassed. The LH fan is in, the RH fan that turned up was incorrect (they sent two LH fans), the replacement had to come in from Australia. 10 days later the replacement turned up and it's faulty (one field magnet has come unstuck from the housing and is rubbing on the armature), so I'm now waiting on another one which is coming from the other side of the island so will hopefully be here tomorrow.

Some pics of the action and the filth hidden behind the console panels and floor mats....... I swear some people just shouldn't own tractors.

This morning I'm away to for our annual safe use of pesticides course so quietly fuming thinking of all the worthwhile things I could be doing!
Ugh. I always end up dozing off in such situations, apparently I once started snoring when the lights were dimmed, the blinds were drawn and a very exciting riveting educational powerpoint was being presented. I of course couldn't possibly verify the accuracy of such accusations

Time for another rainy day job. While I wait for SAME bits to arrive (and because it's blocking up the workshop), I decided to have a look at my Nilfisk waterblaster that spectacularly failed on me last week.

The swash plate bearing has failed, the balls locked up the shaft and its sadly chipped a tooth off the drive gear. I can get a swash plate kit and some piston slippers from Northwest Power Washers for about £30, the gear looks expensive though (and by the sound of it, the missing part of the gear has been hoovered up into the motor). I've fired an email off the NWPW to price the rest of the bits but I'd say its sadly fit for scrap.

If only I switched it off as soon as the pressure dropped and it started sounding like death, instead I just stood there and gawked at it as it destroyed itself 😆

Spent a fun afternoon donned with 3m double respirator and ear defenders, blowing out or replacing cab and engine air filters and rads on 5 tractors and 2 telehandlers.
Made a change from rebuilding the 'stand-by' Kuhn tedder, which turned out to be a much bigger job than planned 😕

Is this not the same as today at work thread 🤷🏻‍♂️
"Today at work" is full of farming stuff, "What are you working on today, TFF?" is full of workshop/car/tractor/waterblaster (& haylage) stuff (hence the Farm Marchinery/Workshop Projects section).
