The war in Ukraine...

Its looking pretty bad for German gas supplies with a further reduction in Nordstream 1 supplies and a pig sent down the Urengou Ukraine pipeline. Putin can now turn off German gas at the press of a button.

The sooner he does so the better. The Germans might finally understand what they're attempting to deal with. There'll be no ending to this until putrids prison of nations is no more.

Sounds like Russia is trying to dig in and defend what they have taken.
America seems more worried about getting their citizens home.

I don’t it’s sunk in that the cutting off of gas supplies will be an existential crisis for many European countries. The same politicians who try to legislate European agriculture out of existence are trying to brush it off as manageable. Well it plainly is not manageable in the short term. They’ve neglected nuclear and indeed coal in their idiotic green fairyland world and as winter approaches the chickens will come home to roost. They’ve run down our home fossil fuel energy production while neglecting nuclear and not having half enough renewable energy ready., Exact same trick as they are doing with agriculture today. Run down production and replace with useless green schemes. They should be on trial for neglect in public office.

IFS put out a report in the last couple of days about high Elec/Gas and fuel prices.

They basically said its critical that price of Gas/ Elec and fuel stay at very high levels to stop people/ businesses from using these things so the UK can meet its Net Zero target by 2030 ( or may have been 2050 )

What planet do these idiots live on?? with there way of thinking we will have to go back to a standard of living like people had 200/300 years ago!

On another note Liz Truss gave an interview a few months/years ago ( forget which ) saying that if farming goes the same way as the coal industry it will not matter and should be encouraged !

I ask myself who has done us as farmers the most damage over the past 40 years?
The Russians selling us cheap and plentiful resources or the EU and U.K. Green/Liberal elite who have legislated against us at every turn and generally tried to put us out of business while turning to unregulated imports.
I’ve absolutely no sympathy whatsoever for the predicament that these woke EU politicians find themselves in. They are reaping what they sow.

I don't understand some things, if Zelensky is fit to have time set up meetings with minor celebrities like Ellie Goulding, Ben Stiller etc and is now having photoshoots with famous photographers for the cover of Vogue magazine, how can Russian forces not be able to track his movements to send a few missiles his way to focus his mind.......

Because he is at the stage where to openly assassinate Zelensky using such a tool as a direct missile strike would be a serious political error by the Russians. They would need to engineer a true accident. Its a big game.

Apparently Putin asked Erdoğan last week in their meeting, if he could get Baykar to set up a production plant in Russia. I think we know the answer to that!

@BaykarTech
again refuses to take money for yet another crowdfunded Bayraktar for Ukraine (now from Poland). A new drone will be sent to Ukraine at no cost.

I dunno, it's worth considering. They wouldn't have to fly as far to bomb russians.

I’m not so sure. Putin stated, just a few days ago, that one of their aims was now (as if it wasn’t before) to remove Zelensky.

I don’t think he could give two hoots as to how the world would see it.

This is not a war as we knew it, one side is moaning because the other side is restricting it's energy supply which might make it harder to provide the weapons to defeat the enemy that's supplying the energy at vast expense which enables their enemy to keep financing it's war with the enemy.
Ukraine is now a shop window for Western arms manufacturers so it's very useful to keep it going as long as possible, it also enables Western governments to honour their green pledges whilst letting Russia take the blame for all Western governments past mistakes, what a crazy mixed up world we live in these days!!

Lots of contradictions involved
At the end of the day, Ukraine didn't ask Putin to send in the military.
It may have been modus operandi in the past but the world's changed.
Social media has a lot to do with that

I will still maintain America invited him in, Ukraine was of no consequence to the US at that time & is now just a useful tool for US foreign policy!
