What’s the story then? Was he buying the wood from you for processing and miss calculated the cost?
He quoted for clearing windfall trees and stacking them in my yard. When his quote came in it was well cheaper compared to others but he came highly recommended by locals and as I'm relatively new to the area took their guidance. some of the easy ones were cleared but there is still a lot left to clear, okay some of it on a steep slope which I get is difficult/dangerous so would be left. Luckily he did clear all the ones I would class as dangerous, under tension, barber chaired, etc. So I'm confident I can handle the rest. Its all just firewood for us, heating for the house relies on it so want to extract as much as possible.
