£550 in the new year then?Terms withdrawn yesterday for urea at £595
This is the thing for me, obviously look to see what the issue is and repair if possible, we are slowly shrinking our heavy clay y notty patches with muck and gypsum etc but some bits If I had variable rate, I am probably better of reducing all inputs, the issue is though I haven't got the technology to do it and often in a really bad year (in certain conditions) they can outperform the good bits.Or accept that is the yield potential of that particular area of soil and do nothing different. No additional cash spent on any input.
I would normally put up a picture of Justus Liebig's Law of the Minimum, but can't be bothered today. There are lots of schools of thought on variable rate treatment. Make the combine driver's life easier with a more even crop or chase the potential of the better bits and just provide the basics in the poorer bits.
The planks for water and soil conditions are too tall too, but you get the general ideaThey never seem to show the label of the plank which is letting all the water out….!

Light land and lack of water is what kills our spring barley crops off.
If you go onto oil prices.com you will see for yourselfBeing widely reported on the news that gas prices are back to pre Ukraine levels. Very mild winter in Europe so far.
You look at it as well and wonder how much the import duty is on a containerAnyone bought UREA from Chinese supplier through Alibaba?

I dont have a quote yet, but will be supprised if its above 400USD/ton. I guess shipping to Norway is more expensive compared to UK. 20ft container is now 2k USD, 40ft is 3k USD. That is from Chinese port to my yard.So how much is it with shipping?
I'm tempted! Think a few should do it as a trial. You look at it as well and wonder how much the import duty is on a container
