Actually finished sowing, remains to be seen if this was a good idea.

All local cuckoos can now remove the insulating tape I had put around their beaks.

Use one once and you’ll wonder why you never had one before. I’m changing wheels frequently and wouldn’t be without it. A full set can be done in under 40 minutes and most importantly, safely. Mine came from @REStracTORATION
Thanks for confirming what I thought !! Is yours a Sealey ? Seems to be the most common advertised, big difference in price depending on the company, surprised at Agri- Linc's price as they are normally quite reasonable.

@Tucker . The wheel changer in Muddyroads picture is identical to the machine that spaldings supply. I’ve had one for over a decade now which is brilliant for these large tractor and sprayer wheel swaps on you own.
Thanks for this, I did look at Spaldings, looks like they only do the 1.5 ton which is a good £500 more than the Sealey 1.2 ton, will see if I can find some reviews of the Sealey to check it's ok .......

@Tucker - we have a Sealey 1.2t changer and would not be without it. It is safe, quick to use, ideal with hydrostatic motors where you need to turn the wheel not the hub to line things up. We use it for large (710/65/R38) duals, combine wheels (800/95/R32) and the sprayer wheels and it is great. It can be a bit more topsy turvery with tall narrow rowcrops. It has been an absolute game changer.

But it is not perfect - the dolly wheels jam, catch stones, need a smooth surface. The over the top restraining bar can be a real fiddle to adjust without it suddenly sliding down onto your fingers or head, the bits where the wheel sits tend to 'flop in' when you are putting a wheel on so you end up doing the limbo holding a wheel, pushing the trolly and using one leg to push the rollers down. I THINK most are the same, but I have only ever use this one.

As i say, not perfect but still one of the best buys made on a farm where an obsession with dual wheels means lots of pit stops

Cheers. JR
