6820 John Deere - Starts then stops !!!

Our 6820 has a habit of starting ok then it stops just as you move out the shed. Churn it over for a while and it starts again and is ok for rest of day. If not used for a couple of days the same thing happens again.
Any thoughts on how to fix it ?

^^ that's the one. Leave the key on for longer to push the air out before you start it and you'd never know!

Change the fuel hoses, likely it's the leak off one, clever thing I thought, fit fuel pipes that rot with diesel to a Diesel engine.

Is the little pump in the fuel tank playing up? Had that on a 6920s

Fuel is draining back to the tank , very likely through one of the braided lines that's gone porous. Replace them all with R6 rubber hose and new clips. Nearly every Deere owner will have experienced this! Biofuel rots the hoses...

Easier than that put a non return valve in the pipe!

Ok my 6810 was transformed after fitting one and so was my 956xl come to think of it...

The valve is chopped in just before the fuel filter on my 6310, little black thing, cost about £6.00. What I mean by right bodge is it looks it, just a break in the line to potentially let air in. But, miraculously it doesn't, so happy days.
