They do this in Australia now, when its nudging 39 degrees the media hype the crap out of it...funny when i was a kid...when it hit 40 no one cared ut was normal, 44 and it was officially "hot".
We didn't even have a 40 degree day last summer, no one in media was all over that record breaker.

If it wasn't for the osr that needs combining I would be slightly less worried than I am but only slightly
The man did look quite perturbed last week when I told him I was on holiday this coming Friday. We have just wheat and winter beans this year and when I reminded him that he had started before I got back last year when it wasn't fit and left me to unblock the combine and a pile of wet corn in the shed he did go away grumbling.
The best advice I ever came across is that when you think the corn is ready, feck off on holiday for a fortnight
