The war in Ukraine...

For some, it’s just another sweltering summer day. But for Ukraine, it’s another painful reminder of the terror attacks we endure at Russia’s hands.

While Russians gleefully celebrate, Ukrainians mourn, counting the victims of a Russian missile: 7 lives lost at this moment, and more than 110 injured, including 12 innocent children.

As Kremlin propagandists scramble to weave their next web of lies, claiming it wasn’t them or their missile, insisting it’s all a “provocation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces”, or deliriously rant about a drone exhibition, a “gathering of generals”, or “hundreds of dead soldiers forbidden to be mentioned”, Chernihiv residents sift through debris, searching for their loved ones.

It’s astonishing to see Russians so convinced that their contrived excuses, which they’ve internalized and are attempting to force-feed to the world, would be believed by anyone sane.

The Kremlin still fails to grasp that the world sees through their charades. Everyone knows that Russian military criminals are indifferent about where they direct their missiles. Be it a kindergarten, a flower exhibition, a maternity hospital, or a bridal gown showcase… Their primary goal is inflicting maximum civilian casualties in Ukraine. This is their macabre reason for invading our land.

To the Russians, when you shriek in incredulous horror, asking, “Why? Why us?”, remember this day, this missile strike on Chernihiv. And remember, today, it wasn’t just Chernihiv you struck.

No forgiveness. Ever.

putin doesn't need an excuse, he'll bomb anything for the terror of it. Remember 'children' being written on the ground outside the Mariupol theatre?
Tell me what sane country or group of people during a war would hold a drone manufacturing gathering in the middle of the city surrounded by innocent civilians, there was warning enough for all those that knew they could be the intended target for them to get into the air raid shelter it seems.
-------------------
"Ihor Klymenko, Ukraine's Interior Minister, reported that the majority of the victims were either in vehicles or crossing the road, or on their way back from church. "Everyone who was in the drama theatre went down to the shelter timely. The National Police officers tried to get people to the shelter after the air-raid warning alert was issued," he said.

Ukraine's Interior Ministry said there was also a large park behind the drama theatre. Mothers had been taking their children for a walk there since early morning. The central square was packed with vehicles. "Our emergency rescuers arrived in time after the missile struck and put out the [fire in the] epicentre of the explosion. After that, together with the police, they started to provide first aid to citizens," Klymenko said."

That delirious rant that you mention comes from the Ukrainian media.

Russia hit Chernihiv during drone manufacturers and aerial reconnaissance gathering

If you don't consider it stupid beyond belief to hold a drone manufacturing gathering in the centre of a busy city full of innocent people then I'd say it's you that's screwed in the head, seems to me they were using innocent people as cover.

Pretty sick that you continue to try and excuse the murderous actions of Russian Brian, pretty sick indeed.

So please confirm that both of you believe holding a drone manufacturing gathering in the centre of a city is normal practise given the damage drones are doing, if you do then I think it pretty much says it all.

Easy for a countryman to think. For people who live and breath city every day of the their life, the idea of conducting such a gathering anywhere else simply wouldn't even cross their minds. Such gatherings, which I am sure occur very often all over Ukraine, are not covered by human shields but by attempts to maintain secrecy. It is very clear that the intentional use of innocent Ukrainians as cover would be entirely pointless, as far as Putin is concerned there are no innocent Ukrainians and there presence would provide zero deterrent against a Russian strike. Shame on you Brian for your victim blaming, shame on you.

Can't help noticing whenever things aren't going so well for Ukraine or there is an urgent need for more weapons then another Russian atrocity soon happens, the Russians don't give a damm about losses civilian or military & I'm not so sure some on the Ukrainian side are so very different, someone tipped off the Russians well in advance of this meeting yet most attending were only told where it was shortly before the meeting.
The poor bloody Ukranian civilians are the true victims here of bloody stupid mindlessness on all sides!

Prey tell how you know if or when Russia got tipped off 🤷‍♂️. Ukraine has many Russian spy’s, Russia has many Ukrainian spies. Russia strikes Ukrainian cities every day, Russia kills Ukrainian civilians every day. If you think Ukraine set up this situation to cause civilian casualties you are barking.
