Just to add if any farms are not going to be collected they will get contacted personally
[/QUOTE]Did anyone in Arla not get a ‘heads up’
of this being imminent or in the least a possibility. Surely Arla must monitor both suppliers and customers for financial robustness?
I am writing to inform you that earlier today we were made aware that Lloyd Fraser had entered administration and have ceased trading.
Our immediate priority is to ensure our farmer owners milk continues to be collected, and we are working to mobilise and implement our contingency plans across the areas Lloyd Fraser operates which includes, Cheshire, North Wales, and Shrewsbury.
We are working as quickly as possible to collect our farmer owners milk. However, we can confirm that we will be unable to collect all the milk that was scheduled for today. Please be assured any farmer owners’ whose milk we cannot collect today will be informed individually and they will still be paid for the milk they produce.
We will continue to keep you updated as the situation evolves over the course of the day and the weekend.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Many thanks,
Paul Dover

It will be losing their operators licence which will probably bu66er up any quick resolution as the vehicles will probably be tied up. Unless anyone is better informed?Dear Supplier,
I have this morning been informed of the news that Lloyd Frasier have gone into administration, and as a result of this have had their “O” licence revoked with immediate effect. This means they cannot operate, and therefore cannot collect your milk.
As you would be aware your milk was collected by Lloyd Frasier on a milk swap with Arla. Both Arla and ourselves are working on contingencies and we will keep you informed on these as they develop, and we will do our best to find an alternative solution to collect your milk. However it would be remiss of me not to advise you to contact your insurer to check your cover for non-collection of milk under these circumstances.

The very last bit of that is the painfull bit compared to being an arla supplier.Dear Supplier,

I think bankruptcy is a reason, but I am sure others know more than me.Would not the withdraw of an O licence been a long process due to poor procedure rather than a lightening visit and immediate shutdown?

Arla farmers collectively rather than individual suppliers.I refer back to my previous post. Financial monitoring. Who will be liable to pick up the non collected milk bill?
Always just before a weekend!
They used the word "owners" in the above email rather than "suppliers"Arla farmers collectively rather than individual suppliers.
That's because we are liable as membersThey used the word "owners" in the above email rather than "suppliers"
Will the Arla directs be covered, or have to go through their insurance? The email wording seemed quite specific. That's because we are liable as members
