Car driver didn't come across as the type to venture over onto the dirty green & muddy stuff, and most wont either (steering wheel attendants, between the white lines drivers, etc...).
Just one of those things, on one of those days... 😏

I understand that a tractor towing the header is not classed as an ‘ escort’ vehicle, don’t know why ?
I’ve had some close calls escorting with hazards, headlights, flashing beacons and wide load boards and there is just nothing you can do when confronted by total idiots
Never never ever use your hazards when escorting please!!! A good escort driver will slow vehicles. Get well ahead. Stop on blind corners next to pull in places. Use your vehicle and push drivers over. You have the luxury that if they ignor at last minute you call pull back onto your side!

I’d say the steering wheel attendant was in the combine. It wouldn’t matter if car driver had another 3ft of tar to pull into. If the gaps not big enough you stop. If it’s tight you slow to a crawl. Not every car driver has great spacial awareness especially judging their passenger side. But although that can be frustrating you don’t just charge on regardless.

How can you comment that, without knowing the car driver, you sound as arrogant as the man driving the yellow machine?!! ...

The big boy combine driver didn't seem the type to slow down a little and perhaps pull into that gateway he just passed..

Afterall it is the combine that is on the opposite carriageway..

So the rules of a public i'net forum is now to only comment if you know the individual involved personally 🤔 yet you are commenting on the combine driver..., and that of myself...
That said, couldn't agree more with you on the combine driver though, but then I'm not commenting on that as I don't know you ... 😆

Let's hope that both parties learned something that day, and by the looks of it other than pride, no one got hurt either. Peace ✌️

1. With hazards on you are unable to indicate the direction you are turning
2. It is illegal to use them when moving

100% the combine drivers fault. And I'm speaking as a combine driver.

He should have brought the combine to a dead stop. The bike would've moved off and the car driver could've inched past or backed up. Even if he wouldn't move, everything's stationary and you have time to think.
Don't disagree, but when you look at the damage to the car it doesn't start till the drivers door handle. Car driver obviously could tuck his front end in enough but forgot about the rear. Many times I've had cars back up for me and they get tight to their side of the road giving just enough room to get past but leave their wheel turned out at full lock
