Switching FITs

We have a small (domestic) solar array on our roof.
I need to change the company I get FITs from (soon before I have a stroke or something with the high blood pressure).
We set up with SSE about 8 years ago. They moved us recently to OVO. We had no choice in the matter - all the SSE accounts were moved.
Finding dealing with OVO an absolute nightmare. Currently battling with their very rude call centre to get back-payments but once we're all-square I'm definitely never speaking to them again!

Interested to know about companies who are efficient, easy to deal with & polite , and how easy is it to switch?
Thank you,
O.C.:D

Don't know about how easy it is to switch if you are eligible for FIT payments but when my roof went live last year I changed from British Gas to Octopus, partly for the higher export rates and partly because of my sister's recommendation, (also an exporter) and it was totally trouble free. I deal with them by email and they are always polite and friendly.

Moving Fits should be easy, but with the electricity industry where it is , not sure nothing is easy any longer
You need to contact a new fit provider and they should do the rest
be aware that Fit providers are not obliged to pay for 3 months
have found the promptest are Eon next

Surprisingly British gas have been decent on fits. After a frustrating start as they wanted a specific postal address for the poultry shed that has the panels. After months I finally got someone on phone who knew how to bypass that part of the application and move it along,

We were with Good Energy for years and they moved the payment date back bit by bit over that time. Someone on here mentioned that certain FIT providers paid much quicker so I set about changing to EDF.

Amazing. They paid 7 days after meter read. Good Energy were 10 weeks in comparison. It took a while for the changeover to happen though, but delighted nonetheless.
