Why ride about in a tin box with leaky doors and front flaps for air con that costs £35k when you could have a farmer spec Jap pick up for £22k I think they were advertised at in the FG a few years back? 🤔
Infinitely more driver friendly, more reliable, doors didn’t leak from new and you have elbow room without opening the windows🤣
I've posted a farmer spec jap pickup at £8k. Just needs a bit extra spent on it to pass EU safety and emissions regs. Still be sub £14k I expect.

This little lady decide to take a swim at birth, thankfully I found her , 3hrs later she stood , not ashamed to say I had tears when she did

We have had land rovers since end of serious 3s and had very little trouble , i think ive been lucky
We had a decent system with them in the past everyone broke them and I fixed them usually on a night. Cheap to fix if you can do it yourself parts are cheap enough. Problem comes when you have more to do and you have to pay someone else to fix them.

Too many up here lament the loss of their much abused Land Rover, and moan about broken springs, blown engines etc that plague their Jap trucks.. Most of these trucks resemble war zone cast off's though less than 5 years old.
There are a few who still have Landy's, well looked after, maybe an odd dent from an angry cow. Think there is an 88 still on the go, but most are 90's.

Was never an LR fan, just see 4 x 4 's on the market now as big clumsy and pretty impractical for work use.
Recent example a pair of utility workers here recently, lamenting, get stuck on track but colleague with a little van up and down no problem on a grass field. One said try climbing into the dammed thing with foul weather suit on, even worse jumping down. said they were fed up asking for usable steps.

I just want a P100 pick up. Carry a tonne. Tow 2, and knew not to try and go into wet fields.

I had a Defender and liked it. About 10 to 12 years ago there was a spate of thefts. Apparently Defenders were being followed from the mart to see where they lived so that farm could be targeted. Any way mine went and I thought if I get another they’ll come back for it so got a secondhand L200 to see how I got on with it. It was a revelation 🤣 but I do like to be comfortable.

The Defender thefts were eventually traced to a garage in Darlington where they stripped them down and sold the parts, I think quite a lot going abroad. They found my Defender engine, the rest of it had gone
