Has anyone got any pics of cereals direct drilled with a sprinter? Particually any on the wider leg spacing post 2016.

Will get some next time I visit the field. Was looking good last time i looked. Saw the barley over the weekend and that is looking very good, apart from the fact it is more yellow than green because of the damned rain. Hope it perks up a bit with this weeks "dry" forcast.

Thanks. The wheat looks good. So is this 1 inch points on a new sprinter 27cm row spacing or pre 2016 sprinter on 25cm row spacing?

That is one of our dryer fields, drained a 12m centres, the rest is errr, wet.

Thanks. I think the new sprinter on 27cm centres will be fine on a 2 inch point.

18/10, never seen many slugs in that field , only treated the ex osr fields and then only once.

First drilled 2nd wheat, 23/09/23 Grafton
2nd and 3rd pic
, last drilled 2nd wheat, Dawsum, headlands Extase but mum till. I regret not drilling the whole field with Extase as I had that option.

3rd picture looks similar to a field I drilled with a Clayton which I don’t think will do, what are your thoughts with yours?

I'm not sure, there is a bit of slug grazing, I've got to decide whether to pellet.
..I think it will make a crop, 2nd and 3rd picture are the same field, but it's certainly not flying
it's one of my best wheat fields so fingers crossed

Wheat looking surprisingly good today, finally escaped the slugs! A nice selection of fungi, too. These fields are growing Mayflower and Redwald, drilled Oct 17th.

That is impressive when you look at the volume and stage of cover crop you drilled into. I'd be dead pleased with that. You can almost see the soil life in action there.

It's surprising how quickly it's broken down this year. I guess the slugs munched most of it
Everyone says cover crops need to go through an animal, for the nutrients to be released properly... Do slugs count?

Good point, surely microbes and other soil creepy crawlies can be classed as animals too.It's surprising how quickly it's broken down this year. I guess the slugs munched most of it
