New stock tup this year. He’s a loony. Managed to get that cut on his nose minutes after coming off the box…

If you are happy with the calves then run him on.

I probably will, I thought the cows might be going last spring so I didn't want to spend a lot on a bull. But I'm keeping 20 so he should do OK. The calves have been born unassisted which is a big thing in my book. His half brother made £3,600 at a sale last week

Pre WW1 Dunmow Flitch

I can remember the wagons going down the ramp off the Stortford Road when I was a kid , now all gone and covered in houses and units

The Flitch Trials continue but I bet nobody remembers or cares for the link and the heritage

Our sheep plastered in marker paint as we had 50 stolen the year before so with the price of wool on the floor sheep worth too much to worry about the colour, picture was taken a few years ago but we still colour them well & so far no more stolen.

She's 90% Limousin with a bit of Whitebred Shorthorn.
As quiet sensible good natured cow as you could ever wish to meet. 6th calver
