What’s he do?

50 acre of sunflowers, between PYO and then also has “save the seed for the bees/birds” where people buy a m2 of sunflowers to keep them over winter for the birds and wildlife and all proceeds go to charity, also massive charity tractor run.. I think from what I remember the sunflowers last year made £60k? The combine run from John O groats to Lands end with his own brand new combine, all proceeds to mental health charities.

Apart from his arable farm he’s running a commercial OSR store for Liverpool docks, a few holiday/student accommodation blocks, commercial lets for businesses too. It was a bit of a case of how much more can you actually do..
And more.

Seems to be running a green waste business too, plus contract drying and presumably pushing the biomass boiler/ renewable heat system pretty hard too.

another day, another field of turnips
Had a set of vice grips clamped to my winder most of the day. Very effective overall. Was a bit worrying when we got to another field and found they’d fell off though. Five minutes back-tracking found them and good to go again. Package waiting for me at home tonight from Rappa, ordered yesterday. Bloody good service plus a chocolate bar👌.

For all those who are sick to the back teeth of never ending wind and rain, From a book called something like The Interminable Smell Of Damp Wool. Not about sheep. It's the solstice, she's on her way back, yay.
I thought the caption across the top was pretty apt.
