Dad had one new and at a few months old ordered a turbo kit for it. He fitted the turbo along with chrome straight pipe and "tweaked" the fuel pump as per the instructions and then a bit more for luck!!!!zetor 7745 turboed
He hooked it into a 9 tine bomford superflow to try it and it was pulling it one gear from top up to the frame!!!! He soon came back into the yard and shut her down a quarter of a turn.
He had 2 of them a 7245 and a 7745 both turbo'd they were good tractors and did a lot of work without anything major going wrong woth them.

used to show up 7610s for pulling
Ford 7610 would be my choice either superQ or AP depending which one fitted your work the best,superQ synchromesh gearbox with very well spaced gears and comfortable cab.AP cab old crash box bomb proof. porous engine block can be a problem but repairable or replaceable

SAME Antares 100. 4pot turbo, 60? gears f & r. rear 3point lift best in its size, ( unfortunately that was why my 1 became 2 ). (( but not its fault when inspected in dealers workshop)).
Had one here it pulled like a train,also smoked like a train when it blew a hole in a piston,cheap to mend though.
Another vote for the JD6400, we had a late model one on a P reg, had the snail shaped lift control and parking brake on the shuttle and the later single pin PUH like the 10 series that followed. Was a brilliant tractor wish I still had it today!

6400 but not from the leaping deer stable, A Valmet 6400 would run rings round the JD.
Had one with a loader on it , it did about 1000hr yearThere is only one tractor that will fit the bill

They hold there money well when looking at larl tractors this age it just about be cheaper getting a 6 cylinder
