J Wray Farms with the MIGHTY TM140 ploughing with the 4 furrow Kverneland plough. This field in the back end of 2022 was sown out with a mix of cover crops and grazed by 1500 sheep over the winter months. Johnny now turning over the grazed cover crop will be planted with potatoes in the coming weeks.

A proper Old School Classic Massey Ferguson 3125 ploughing stubble ground for spring sowing... Back in her day the Massey Ferguson 3125 was 125hp and a big big tractor then. She was absolutely playing with the Kverneland 4 furrow plough but she was in some rather nice ground.

If we are talking TM155 and ploughs;

Soil too heavy for the press that day.

Just can't see the point of all this ploughing but I don't have clay for cropping.at home. We tryed some away from home ploughed then but after two years best to put it back to grass and that was two to three year when we had considerable less rain than now. Tim hat on

Mine plays with 6f but it's a semi mounted.

Yes, and kvernland press for reallÿ light soil when dry, usually in front of drill sowing OSR.
Something special about a TM that's gets the grip, and suspect they are all over 155 hp... not fully downrated?

I do think it's the grip, mine has BKT 650s on and grips really well.

Ours has always been a lively performer, Dyno'd at 153HP on the PTO, but it's always worked from day 1.
I know they are not everyone's cup of tea, but I have found it to be a well balanced tractor that gripped and pulled well. It's no speed demon on the road though!
Firestone 600/65 38's on ours.

I think that this era of tractor pretty much provided us with all we actually needed for a realistic cost

In my case £34k got you a full powershift, basic front linkage, front suspension, cab suspension and 4 spools, I would buy another today but add 50kph... but what would it cost?

@William james - a very late reply to your photo of the pair of Dronningborgs. Were these unusual to have an auger and a bagger like that? I can see a benefit in having a separate collector for the chaff and weed seeds etc. rather than putting them back onto the field. When did they stop having this arrangement, and did other makes do similar?

We had a 1979 Laverda M132 that bagged off the weed seed etc. Made a lovely sample.
