I think a lot of it is Ford parts off the shelf. How do you get on with finding parts?

We had a 1979 Laverda M132 that bagged off the weed seed etc. Made a lovely sample.
There is a lot of add-ons which you can do.Thanks @Wilkster . Do you or anyone else know if other more mainstream (in the UK) combines ever had this option, i.e. Claas / NH etc. ? And when did it stop being something that they had?
Would not be a big engineering job to put a chaff blower on the combine , just like they did on old threshing machines .Thanks @CPF . It's interesting that this sort of stuff is available. I was hoping someone was going to say that Claas had it as an option up until the '90s or something, just in terms of the era I might realistically buy a combine from!
Yes it's sort of being reinvented now.I'm not into combines or anything so cant tell you details but I have seen in a magazine somewhere a combine that had like a grain roller on the back to smash any weed seeds that came out.
I was only ever aware of the Laverda having this option. I did once see a John Deere with a blower attachment and it pulled a small silage trailer behind to collect the screening but I guess this was a farmer’s modification. Thanks @Wilkster . years ago you could buy a clayson130 with a cleaner on it i know of one but they took it off because it slowed it downI was only ever aware of the Laverda having this option. Proper silage.Working in Armagh one fine day William in the Massey Ferguson 4270 and mounted JF 850 Silage Harvester lifting 10fts of grass into the Woods and the Fraser Single axle trailer, the classic Massey Ferguson 290 carting back to the pit #arimagery #farming #agriculture #farmlife
