Field next to where I am ploughing is/was a field of wheat but constant rain has killed that of so will have to rip that up next

After 4 hours fettling (mainly due to 4 journey to get alternate tools) finally got the alternator off the JS.
Everything is so tightly packed in withnot much room to do anything .
Spurious replacement as JCB wanted £1300 for it, hopefully don’t have to repeat exercise as machines on 10k hours and looks original.

daughters boyfriend has a 250r that he says isn't big enough for six furrows , it was poorly and they hired a 400hp 8r , says that was struggling , he needs a 8rx , there land is the type where spuds are the main crop , standard fen black soil :) :) :) :LOL: , do feel sorry for the younger ones
ours bossed 6f even when conditions weren't good. he must have a friday tractor 😂

Been dangling up conifer tree this morning ,about 18m up ,cut the top out .
Reduced from about 24m+ down to 18m then to 12m

Ok I will be dumb enough to ask the question, were you up a ladder or doing it from a telehandler? Asking cos I have 2 rows to do. Will they survive being reduced by half their height, I have heard they don't like side branches being cut off?
