He is a voice people understand so get behind him.
This is like the Post Office scandal;
No one gives a clock until it is put over clearly on the TV.
Clarkson has that voice. Love him or hate him he makes folk listen.

As some one with regular contact with non farming punters, clarkson has had a huge impact on how farmers are perceived by the general public….and it’s very much positive.

I have holiday makers, campers, caravaners here every week, engage them in a chat to welcome them, 10 mins later they are wanting to understand how the farm works and often comment on how JC has opened their eyes.

Discounted is still wrong
We pay the proper uk price for diesel
The Germans are complaining as they only have white and claim back ag use. Their gov wanted to get rid of this so everything would be done on white at pump prices.
I think they also wanted to subject tractors to the same rules as trucks, they are already a lot more strict than we are.

The greens will be the death of us all yet. They will starve us to death.
The cuntservitives are doing a good enough job, I’m sure labour wont be any better as for greens they’re just a token joke party to give the millionaires that go to Glastonbury a feeling of warmness as the hop on their 11th flight this year to a posh compound to summer

Interesting side note in the discussion around red diesel, and all the other fuel you use - aviation fuel is not taxed, at all. Figure that one out.

Anyone know if the heavy oil , whatever it’s called, taken on board , in the UK,to power cargo ships , has VAT on it ?

Demanding what ? Specifically. Because the only specific thing the Germans seem to be bellyaching about is the loss of their diesel rebate. Is our red under threat ?

German Farmers have attempted to debate "Green Policies" for years, but the politicians don't care, are not listening & are implementing dictatorial policies.

I expect you already know this and are just being deliberately difficult because all the information is there on Twitter if you read it.

Nope. When it comes to the real threats to your business - corporate control, fake food - the green movement is on your side. But you know that.

Talk about denial

I posted a long list of Green Party policies which amount to the most Draconian Policies I have ever seen against UK Agriculture.

Taxes on Inputs
Taxes on Outputs - yes Taxes on food
Land use changes
Mandatory Planting Trees
Mandatory Livestock reductions

That's just what I can remember

Fuel to agriculture is rebated as a sop to us to keep food cheap as Clarkson points out.
He is bigly right that there is no way the supermarkets can sell at their prices without screwing the primary producers
Then again, no one will vote for higher food prices so we are screwed either way

As I keep pushing

UK farmers need to take profits from Processors & Retailers into their own revenue streams - baby steps taking the highest profit centres first

NFU is just letting everything slide putting UK ag in a worse position every year - we need leaders to take back control & dump the NFU in the bin

But the NFU are trying to produce enough sh!t that we can all spread it on our land and ditch using nitrates in the UK, the trouble is, being the NFU, its a secret as to how they made the stock pile and nobody inside will tell us where it is, if it's any good for farmers to use or how much it will cost as they sold the concept to BRC as being green and BRC need us to commit to RTs GFC to be eligible to buy it off them.
