Even our great leader discovered that markets can down as well as up, and he has more chance of influencing things than us mere mortals.

I read the us which must be the biggest exchange had 250000 corn shorts 150000 wheat shorts and 100000 soy shorts. Any one know what the cost to hold these positions are? Are they leveraged from10% stake?

What would it cost to go long on 500,000 tons wheat on london exchange?

You would need to have a shedload of £s on account, a then some more on top of that to cover any arising margin calls.
Vegas could be more fun, or £110m to be won on Euromillions tomorrow.
Humour me, Give 2 working examples with a £20 shift in each direction when taking a long position. I want to understand the economics.

@Clive used to say there was money to be made paper trading so I presume he would be able to explain,there was company (insurance) trying to sell into the fluctuations on here a couple of years ago,does that still exist
