Insulted by auctioneer

I get a lot of stick off auctioneers and hand a fair bit back. It’s just a bit of good fun. I wouldn’t like them criticising any stock I was trying to sell whilst they were also trying to sell them. Sound pretty unprofessional wonder he hasn’t come across someone to square him up before now.
Someone did a few years ago 🤣 they got banned

Mark Elliott is a gentleman goes out of his way to help, his way of pointing out animals that have been farmed a bit hard is they will grow like willows, why AS ever became senior partner is beyond me and many others, sooner he retires the better for Bakewell market

There’s a couple of grand lads under AS, but he’s the one with the money and control.

l expect a lot of us could name some auctioneers, who have their 'favourite' buyers, its not all bad, an auctioneer sometimes needs someone to 'help him out', if got over keen. Usually equals out.

Some bring the hammer down a bit quick, to favoured clients, that's wrong, but, markets have to rely on the dealers, to some extent, to make a trade.

the ones l dislike, are those that start running up a pen, then have to stop, and restart, because they didn't have a bid.

then there are those, that everyone knows they are taking bids off the wall, but done in a way, that doesn't upset farmers, they are quite rare. But, if you are selling, you could be thankful he is !

some are just plain awful.

but it takes a very good auctioneer, who earns respect from buyers, and sellers, that's the ones you want ! After a mkt one day, where some badly bred plain cattle didn't make a lot, chatting to the auctioneer after, his comment, 'you cannot make a silk purse, from a sows ear, but l had a bloody good try'.

Getting the vibes that you don’t like the f**ker.😁
Pretty much 🤣
Bakewell used to be packed out with stock at every sale… then Ian Lawton retired (he could be “firey” shall we say. But a bloody good auctioneer. Sneddles took control and it’s been a downhill slide since then.
