I don't know if this is the reason but down here a lot of rearers with serious virus pneumonia problems

I would say calves and young cattle are a good buy at the minute if prices stay where they are or continue to improve, I guess the longer the prices stay good the more the younger stuff will get dragged up
Virus been a big problem here
Bit depressing having lost a few and not looking forward to look in the calf shed
still have couple or so wanting to write out their will

What price are you getting?
29 ton tipped, £160. I assume @casper74 price is what one of his local mills is offering delivered in. I can’t see many takers, YET. The way it’s drifting they might do soon. I expect mills are quiet, the price compounds are I’m not surprised. I fail to see how beef nuts at £320 plus made from barley at £150 is going to endear them to customers any time soon either

Bought off a farm, they wanted the shed emptying by the weekend and he was happy to deliver it this week. (y)
