Been shafted by them more times than I care to remember.

If you had refused to deliver on a contract after the price had gone up, the merchant would enforce the contract with legal help if necessary.
I'd get it independently sampled and tested by 2 certified labs, and then ask a solicitor to draft a letter to remind them they are breach of a legally binding and enforceable contract, and of the damage it will do to their reputation WHEN it goes to court...

But then again this is why I stopped growing barley 22 years ago, because I refuse to associate with politicians, drug dealers, pimps, thieves, and barley buyers.
