So you want to put rubber leachate into groundwater? Then pay to get your land decontaminated when the clipboard weilders turn up?What about tyre chips ?
They half the weight of stoneWhy would you do that?
Loads of research done into using tyre bales both in uk and USA - approved for use by EA and SEPAWouldn’t contaminate any land with that lot myself.
Not for me.Loads of research done into using tyre bales both in uk and USA - approved for use by EA and SEPA
I can’t find it, do you know what the code is for this Grant?Bizarrely you can get a grant on drain jetters now in the current round of FEFT grants but if you rely on EA to get the water away further upstream etc you are snookered, so what is the point unless considering altering EA strategy. Also you can get grants on tree shears etc but I thought they/UK Government wanted trees to grow not taken down so a lot of the items seem to go against the actions of another department. You couldn't make it up.
I use 40mm clean limestone mostly. Still working and still clean after 20 years here. Pea gravel works well, but doesn’t go as far. What type of stone do people prefer to use? I had a fella draining for me once that said pea gravel was best for drains but I’m sure I read on this forum that 50mm clean was what you wanted?
rather french friesWhat about tyre chips ?
To be honest often the water comes from spring points every so often rather than surface unless you are mole ploughing across the drains but we all tend to stone the whole length50mm limestone out of llynclys quarry on recent job View attachment 1166430
