If you think she's bulling then crack on. If you're not sure I'd mark it down as heat and go again in 3 weeks. Shes milking well so no harm in letting her go.
Definitely on so ai'd her to sexed cogent 3 star oh Rock red 🤞

Also ai'd first l this beauty to conventional Bradash trailblazer, calved 40 days ago with a cracking heifer by inch jake, just waiting for her genomics back 😀

I don’t think the parlour in the picture will be representative of what you’ll get!
Check very carefully what you’ll get, I got caught out when I first bought my parlour, the pulsation used to freeze up in cold weather, changed it to some second hand pulsation, an extra cost not needed.
Was that a delaval? Our pulsation is cheap but a frost stops it and will freeze during milking if below minus 5🤬, am trying for a Read slide for next one

Yes, Delaval. Think it was called Pulseboy, we changed to a Pacer unit off another parlour, didn't have any trouble with frost then, the odd relay went initially but performed well for years until we extended and upgraded the parlour.
Read supposed to be very good I know, does Peter Joules still sell them here?

Try rolling the pulsator line by 15 degrees, stops moisture sitting on top of the diaphragm. Seem to remember this sorted the issue after messing around injecting antifreeze into them and all sorts. Or change pulsators 🤷‍♂️

Ours were not put in straight to start with by mistake 🙈, I just put a hairdryer in the secondary air line which works most of the time.

Surprising in a study of small-scale dairy farms to find herd size options such as 250- 500 and 500+!

Hello, I am a final year BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Animal Science student at Harper Adam’s University. The purpose of my study for my dissertation is to seek information about how Johne’s disease impacts small-scale dairy farms in the UK.
If you are a dairy farmer/farm worker in the UK please could you spare a 5-10 minutes to complete my questionnaire.

Thank you in advance

Five calves yesterday out of total of 67, two more this morning and one starting. Over 10% of the herd calved in 36 hours, quite an improvement on the first two years, should have the bulk calved by magic day this year. Hoping that the weather improves, milkers out full time as no other option really but so little DM in the grass and graze outs not great. Me and them could both do with some sun.

Calving outside hasn't been pretty here, but only lost 1 calf, after a schmallenberg issue early on, which thankfully seems to have disappeared, it's been a year of on and lots of off grazing

Yeah, only have a 30x 50 shed to calve in If it snows, as have a massive Ecoli issue inside, neighbours calve 300 out wintered spring calvers outdoors too, just can be a bit labour intensive at times and chances of building anything on this farm isn't going to happen, hence the looking for different options currently

You'll be able to chuck some volume of grub at them now with your new feeders. 😎

Good job.

We have also just started the Spring block.

Why do you start in Mid March, and not earlier?
