Whilsy you are no doubt happy keep swapping vehicles for no money exchange, logically if they valued your 3 month old one same as new they would have just sold the new one to the buyer of your 'old' one. What am I not understanding?

so basically, the new ones I get are either cancelled orders or high spec stock ones. The new price is what it is and cannot be changed, now say mr Joe bloggs walks In to showroom wanting to order a new truck with a lead time of say 9 months but they offer him my trade in with sub 2k miles on and can have it straight away then he may take the bait, and the man that cannot wait is prepared to pay a slight premium to have that nearly new car,it’s nuts I know but I’m not complaining

So Joe Bloggs could be offered the brand new car they have in stock (as they have it to sell to you) but that would not give the same impression of them been sortafter and hard to get and it would be just one sale. But if he sells the new one to you your nearly new one to Joe Bloggs he's made two sales out of one doubling his commission?

Havnt done alot with it yet but 1st impressions seen good. Ride comfort is really good, its nice and quiet and grips well. The extra gps screen is good but it also takes up alot of room so its been a struggle to mount extra control boxes for certain implements and a camera screen and cb but ive managed to get them all in yesterday.
You can run a camera through the cebis screen. It may need an unlock and you will need a fly lead that also gives power ican look up partnumbers for thr fly lead if you want. The guidance screen will have cameras on it in the future too.

But why would Mr Joe bloggs not buy the one you're getting? Wrong colour?
Joe bloggs doesn’t know the new one is available in this deal,so he/she is paying a slight premium over new to get that readily available second hand one. If they are told you’ve got to wait 9 months but on the forecourt or coming back we have an immaculate sub 2k miles top spec truck then some people seem to lose their minds and snap it up!
like i said they can’t make the new price any different as it’s pretty much fixed, but second hand they can charge what they want,my first trade ins 12 months ago they were making 10k over new price

Yes effectively he’s doubling his commission,my man literally rings me with any cancelled order they get that he thinks will suit me to do a deal on,as soon as figures don’t stack up I’ll stop

Yeah you can on the tractor screen but its a really small box so decided against it. The gps is taking a bit of figuring out, its not like anything else ive been used to but im sure the more i do the easier it'll get

Yes understand that but they could still sell cancelled order/ high spec to those who cannot wait. Unless salesperson/dealership hitting targets for bonuses etc of how many vehicles sold, when they exchange to you they effectively sell two vehicles probably three if they make a bit on the trade in of whoever purchases your 3 month old one. Everyone happy.

yes they could but that new one is still a set price, there is no movement on that figure
So if they can sell my low miles nearly new one for slightly more than a new one because person X cannot wait, but can have my trade in almost instantly for slightly over new price then they are hitting sales targets and making a bit extra money along the way and possibly earning a bit more through finance as I guess the interest would be higher on user rather than new.

OK just got it didn't realise they could sell your 3 month old one for more than new or somebody would be that impatient and salesperson can sense a fleecing😉.

So they are "selling" you a new vehicle at full price with no discount. so keeping the discount themselves. then the mug who buys the used one as x demo at over list price. then if vehicles are on finance they make commission on top again. lots of bites of cherries. I've never bought a vehicle at the list price ever. x demos at 30-40 % of list. is normal to me. dealers aren't allowed to keep demos any longer than 6 months old.
the last car I bought for someone I got 45% off list, the car was 6 months old and 31 miles on the clock. garage was very keen to move the car. cash deal.
