Police think they’re social workers a lot of the time
Trouble is you can't really blame the police, magistrates are told to keep felons out of prison so they can carry on robbing etc so it must be soul destroying being a copper watching those you do prosecute let off with just a telling off.
It's Tory government policy & their instructions that are solely to blame, no one else!

Plenty of money for Ukraine etc but in the UK they are scrimping everywhere you look, a governments first & only duty is to it's own tax payers first, not pretending to the world that we are some thing it's painfully obvious we are not, but then it's it's the Tory way!!!

I do a pest control job for a well known bird charity, I use my Honda quad to get around the Marsh ground which I tow to sight in a trailer. The other evening whilst travelling to site I was pulled overly police, I thought great they are interested in the quad, but no only interested in the cracked rear light on the truck. I was told it was an offence and I could get 3 points. After assuring them I would get it fixed I said to them " are you not going to ask me about the quad?" I was told we are coming to that , is it yours? Yes I replied and they said OK, get the light fixed and this firm stamped by MOT garage. They were not interested at all in the bike, yet every week they get stolen from somewhere.

When we had our bike pinched they kept coming and wasting time seeing if I needed a counsellor, I said no I need the bike back.
Oh we know where it will probably be at but we can't do much about that, what about a counsellor.
They just kept coming back wasting time like that 3 or 4 times

Friend of my uncles was a Bobby at Manchester Met. He was part of a dawn raid drug bust and one of the felons was resisting arrest and spat full on into Pete’s face. Pete lamped him, dropped him on his arse and they cuffed him and away they went. Next thing Pete is up on a charge of assault by a police officer for punching the scum that spat in his face. There could have been any form of disease in that spit. And he was resisting arrest anyway. So Pete gets quietly but quickly moved onto Airport police at Manchester. It’s absolutely ridiculous.

That’s the crux of the problem with this country though, human rights

Similar here, they wanted me to go to victim support meetings in Costa Coffee! More interest in that than getting gear back
