Keep an eye on parts availability though, even Volvo and Cat are less reliable for older machines, let alone the also rans. It's ok having a 30yr old shovel in nice order (our L50) but no bloody good when you have to spend a week ringing round looking for some stupid little seal kit. ok for bigger parts as plenty of aftermarket supplies. when we ran Case the parts supply was hopeless at 10yrs, hence they are cheap I guess? Then do you have 2 older in case 1 has an off day, or swap it in for something less reliable, possibly more hours but newer? Anyone selling an older straight L50 with under 15k hours cheap;)
And this why you need to buy a common brand, the F G and H loaders from Volvo are essentially the same apart from emission control and the bonnets.

That is a beast for the money, seen the guy sell a bit it’s usually sold as seen stuff for sensible money, don’t see any issues with that.

Could be worth pricing some parts and checking availability first
What would it make to weigh in scrap and sell the bucket, that alone is worth a couple of grand if it was beyond repair. Or break for spares to sell?

Nowt wrong with an old Volvo( unless it's got a Perkins!)
Three's no good as one will have no friends, might as well round it up. Those old things worked well as long as someone shovelled the muck out of the cab now and then, bit of a dusty old spot to be sitting.
