No, if you read the article you'll see that it may be dribble bar related. Bringing dried slurry back in with the silage as dribble bar leaves it in thick lines. Yet dribble bars are sold to us as being the bee's knees and wasps nipples.
I’ve stopped using my dribble bar because of this,my slurry is too thick, you cover everywhere and end up with a different problem.

Managed to get 10 load of slurry out that should see us not overflowing until the end of April. Made a bit of a mess but needs must. Spread on our only accessible bit of grass that hasn’t been reseeded in the last 10 years, so has a bit of a sole to it. Hellish rain forecast next 48 hours. Meant to be getting youngstock on there as soon as it dries up, how long after slurry can I safely graze it? Usually only spread on the silage ground this time of year.

When you get 18L of liquid gold off of a fresh calved heifer you know she’ll be a milker, only calved this morning.

Don’t think that was the whole story all the same think it was some badly mown grass at 1st cut was also at play, we’ve no issue with the dribble bar but we do water it down for after 1st cut but it’s easy done as the store that collect water is beside he slurry store

I’ve seen that article shared on social media. Funnily enough it was shared by people who sell those Splash It things that bolt on the bottom of the dribble bar pipes. Make of that what you will…

Christ! Bad enough hooking some of them up once!
was getting some fish and chips, and knacker man pulled up right by the door, 3 people walked straight out, if l hadn't paid, l would have as well, it was vile.

no real rain, 1mm since fri, ground is drying out nicely.

fert for all first cut, can't get slurry out, hoping its better conditions for after.

resorted to hauling it out in a trailer, and tipping where we can get to, had to change the cropping around a bit !
