He change oil on his 955.
He put gear oil 80/90 in front axel and planet gear, rear axel on each side and gearbox.
He put hy-tran on hydraulik and brake fluid.

Is it correct? We look at internett but its not same answere so because he dont like to have problems with brake etc.

Best regards

According to the Maxol and Kroon oil finder websites, you are correct with everything except the gearbox, which should use Hytran like the hydraulic system. 42L for the gearbox and 34L for hydraulics.

I find a manual from Feb. 1982. Nothing about to use Hy-tran on the gearbox, only the hydraulik and the brake fluid is Hy-tran. So how can you whrite that we should use Hy-tran agrimax?

If it is a 955 it needs gear oil in the gearbox, 15 gallons from memory , needs pumping in throgh the level plug on LH side of gearbox under cab, a 956 uses hy tran and is a pressure lube system where the 955 is a oil bath system

I did write that ''according" to a couple of reputable oil finder websites that hytran was the recommendation...
They obviously haven't done their research properly...

Sorry, I see your nickname and think you are from an oilcompany. My English is not so good and I see it's my fault🫣

I think the late 955 would have similar requirements to an early 956? Which part of the axle has wet brakes? That
part will need Hytran or any other good quality Universal Tractor Transmission Oil. I have used an 80w90 gear oil in the gearbox of a 956 but it dragged a little when cold. I also used straight 46 grade hydraulic oil in the main hydraulic system which seemed to be fine. Possibly could contaminate other tractors slightly when switching equipment.

You should not put gear oil in a 956 or 1056 , they definitely had hytran in them and a lot less oil than a 955 or a 1055 gearbox
