It was registered in Sept 2019, so I was expecting recalls to resolve the oil dilution and injector problems, but ford say it doesn't need either of them.

It's paid for, so I haven't got that option. Has anybody had any joy getting things like this sorted? It's only doing 20mpg as well, but again they say that is down to my journeys.

Thanks for your help everyone. @ACEngineering has supplied an Iskra 3.2kw reduction starter. It has gone straight on with no issues and is working great. There is plenty of space around the Quicke loader sub frame as well.

I've sorted the tractor out. It was the shuttle switch. I shorted from terminal 85 on the start relay to ground, and it started with the key. I tested through the switch, and found it wasn't closing when in neutral. Thanks everyone for your help

I've traced the wiring from the starter to this relay. I put a supply on it straight from the battery, and it tried to start. It isn't pulling in when the key is turned though. I'll have a look for this. Does the switch stop you starting it without being on the seat, or is it supposed to stop...
