I think the same tbh, but ford and the dealers have closed ranks and say there isn't a problem. I've made a complaint to ford that their response is a load of bull, and there must be a problem. Will have to see how it goes
I've asked Ford about the injectors, and they say it is not on the list. It was registered 2 weeks after the end of the production window where the faulty injectors were used. It must've been built a good while before it was registered? As for the oil dilution recall, they just say there are no...
The fault code was P253F, which is "engine oil deteriorated".
No, it was 2nd hand and hasn't gone back to where I bought it from. I've just taken it to the local main dealer. It has done it twice now, and their attitude is that it is something I should accept. Ford are just agreeing with the...
It was registered in Sept 2019, so I was expecting recalls to resolve the oil dilution and injector problems, but ford say it doesn't need either of them.
It's paid for, so I haven't got that option.
Has anybody had any joy getting things like this sorted? It's only doing 20mpg as well, but again they say that is down to my journeys.
Hi all,
I was just after a few opinions regarding a problem I've got with my Ford Ranger. I feel like the dealer and Ford are taking the mick, but I aren't getting anywhere.
It came up with a "Powertrain malfunction / reduced power" message in July, so took it to the dealer who said it needed...
It turned out we had been looking too deep. The cable from the alternator to the battery had broken off at the crimp, but was still held in place by the heat shrink... Very frustrating but all sorted.
I ended up starting from scratch and checking continuity of all of the cables. I give it a...
Morning all, I've got another problem I could do with a bit of help with.
I've got a Neuson 501 skidsteer which is not charging. It has had a new alternator and battery, but it still failed to start the other day. I'm going to double check the ground etc today. I checked the resistance of the...
I had the same problem on a TB135. I've attached a couple of pages from the manual.
From memory, the safety relay is mounted on the same plate as the fuse box, but is inaccesible from inside of the cab. I think I tipped the cab and dropped everything out from underneath.
I'll try find you a...
Thanks for your help everyone.
@ACEngineering has supplied an Iskra 3.2kw reduction starter. It has gone straight on with no issues and is working great. There is plenty of space around the Quicke loader sub frame as well.
Evening all, I'm after a bit of assistance if possible.
I've got a Case 4230 that's slow to start. We've put a new battery and heater plug on, but it's still sluggish turning over. In cold weather, it doesn't get going at all.
I'm looking at getting a starter, but I'm unsure whether to get a...
Hi all,
Does anybody know where there are any Case 5150's for breaking?
We've had the prop come off at the uj on the front axle and wreck the 2 flanges.
We've spoken to a couple of dealers, and they both say that the uj part is obsolete.
Any ideas? I've attached a picture to show what I'm...
I've sorted the tractor out.
It was the shuttle switch. I shorted from terminal 85 on the start relay to ground, and it started with the key. I tested through the switch, and found it wasn't closing when in neutral.
Thanks everyone for your help
I've traced the wiring from the starter to this relay. I put a supply on it straight from the battery, and it tried to start. It isn't pulling in when the key is turned though.
I'll have a look for this. Does the switch stop you starting it without being on the seat, or is it supposed to stop...
It's a 5150 plus
We've never had to press the pedal before, but I'll check to see if something has started working that hasn't before. I'll check for any seat switch and PTO as well.
Thanks for the replies.
