Hi All
I recently posted about trying to find growers still using the wheat variety Trinity and if anyone could supply seed but I had no luck as this variety has dropped off.
I was wondering if anyone could supply 20 kg of seed for the winter wheat varieties Sundance, Evolution and Skyfall...
Hello all
Does anyone still grow the wheat variety KWS Trinity or know where I would be able to get seed? I only need 20 kg as it is part of a trial whereby this variety is proving difficult to obtain.
Many thanks
Wheat (Graham) has really jumped with the rain. Had ccc @1.5lt/ha +freeze @ 0.2lt/ha at T1 and looked short but really thick. Bounced just before T2 so got canopy at 0.75lt/ha and activator 90. But with that rain Andrew the fact it's a first wheat after long term grass has made it bounce even...
I know your point but its a twenty year old machine which has done her job but just isnt up to it now. We intend to keep the new machine for at least 15 years which is why the right hoice of spinner is essential.
The old machine doesn't spread the borders accurate because you have to drive a...
It's an Amazone Za - U and its just about time we change considering we are throwing the price of a fertiliser spinner about in fertiliser costs every year.
Thanks for all the replies, its much appreciated.
I'm liking the vicon quite a lot especially at the price compared to the others and the fact it is good on hills and can be adjusted from 12 up. The cheapest is the Lely Tulip. What are people thoughts and experiences with the Lely Tulip on arable?
Hello, this year I changed our sprayer from a 12m to 21m. Now I'm going to have to change the fertilser spinner to suit the wider tramlines as the old one just isnt up to it!
We have a relatively low number of acres of arable, which can be quite hilly. So in terms of spec it is going to be...
The tap out of the gas tank is at the top so its vapour then. The problem is the pipe freezes the whole way, right from the gas tank taps and into the drier. Thanks for the reply.
We tried a battery to but it must of been scrap, is what I reckon the problem is. You say that the battery will go for a couple of days before needing recharged? Thanks for the reply.
Hi,thanks for the reply, the 35 has the poer to drive all the augers and fan but the problem is I think it has a dynamo instead of an alteranator. Our dryer has the crocodile clips.
We are runing from a gas tank, we're in NI here so we need plenty of gas to burn unfortunately.
Last year we bought a second hand Opico 345. We ran her with an MF 390T. We then tried a Massey Ferguson 35, however she would sent power to the control panel but for some reason wouldn't keep the flame going. We tried connecting the dryer to the battery charger and this would not work so we had...
I put about 0.25 l/ha Canopy and about 1 l/ha Opteman on the barley on Tuesday the 26th of May. Looking today, I'm well pleased in how they're starting to tiller. At the time I put it on I would have said the crops were mildly stressed but I thought the manganese would do good. This month has...
Thanks for the reply, is there a problem with trailed as well where the self track not following properly in line with tractor on steep hills too or that it can give issues such as tramping down the crop? What rate controller was on your Berthoud?
